Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has been named Premier League Player of the Month for October following his impressive goalscoring run.
The 28-year-old, who has joined up with the England squad for friendlies against Spain and France, found the back of the net five times in Leicester's four games last month.
Vardy netted in wins over Norwich City, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion, and scored two in the team's 2-2 draw with Southampton at St Mary's.
Vardy is the league's top scorer with 12 goals and can match Ruud van Nistelrooy's league record of scoring in 10 consecutive games when Leicester travel to Newcastle United on November 21.
The striker managed to beat Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud, Kevin De Bruyne, Odion Ighalo and Jack Butland, who were all nominated for the monthly award.
