Liverpool set up a winner-takes-all showdown with Basel in the final match of the Champions League group stages courtesy of a 2-2 draw against Ludogorets Razgrad this evening.

The visitors took the lead into the break after Rickie Lambert and Jordan Henderson had cancelled out Dani Abalo's early opener, but Georgi Terziev equalised in the dying minutes to rescue a point for his side.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at who impressed on a pivotal night of European action in Sofia.

LUDOGORETS

Goal

Vladislav Stoyanov: Involved in a terrible mix-up with Moti for the opener but could do nothing about the second goal and made a good save to deny Sterling late on. (5/10)

Defence

Juninho Caicara: Provided a decent outlet on the right flank and got forward whenever he could. However, his delivery was lacking on occasions. (6/10)

Cosmin Moti: Horror show for the equaliser as he let the ball bounce while waiting for his keeper, allowing Lambert to nip in and score. (5/10)

Georgi Terziev: Got the late equaliser for his side with a good reaction header from close range. Was solid defensively throughout too. (7/10)

Yordan Minev: Didn't cover himself in glory in the build-up to Liverpool's first goal, but responded to put in a decent performance down the left flank. (6/10)

Midfield

Svetoslav Dyakov: Got the assist for the late equaliser but didn't have much of an impact on the game other than that. (6/10)

Fabio Espinho: Was one of his side's more dangerous players with his shots from distance, one of which brought about the fumble that led to the opening goal of the game. Could have done better defensively in tracking Henderson for Liverpool's second, though. (6/10)

Mihail Aleksandrov: Drifted through the game fairly anonymously, struggling to make an impression before being withdrawn with just under 20 minutes remaining. (6/10)

Marcelinho: Provided a threat for his side from the hole and looked as likely as anyone to make something happen from open play. (7/10)

Virgil Misidjan: His pace and trickery caused problems at times, but it lacked substance. A couple of eye-catching moments that ultimately came to nothing. (6/10)

Attack

Dani Abalo: Showed predatory instincts to follow in and get the opening goal inside three minutes. Outfoxed the Liverpool defence with his movement on a couple of other occasions too, but could not take advantage. (7/10)

Substitutes

Juninho Quixada: Flashed one effort a couple of yards wide during an otherwise uneventful appearance off the bench. (6/10)

Wanderson: Replaced Aleksandrov with a little more than 15 minutes to go but could not make an impact during his cameo. (6/10)

Hamza Younes: Came on with just under 10 minutes remaining and didn't have time to influence the game. (6/10)

LIVERPOOL

Goal

Simon Mignolet: Has received a lot of criticism this season and did himself no favours with another poor showing. Dropped a howler for the opening goal and was as uncertain as ever under the high ball too. Wasn't helped by the pitch on a couple of occasions, but still should have dealt with it better. (4/10)

Defence

Javi Manquillo: Produced a solid performance at the back despite being faced with a tricky customer in the shape of Misidjan. Got forward when possible too. (6/10)

Martin Skrtel: Struggled in the early stages of the game as Ludogorets found space behind the defence, but improved as the match wore on. (6/10)

Kolo Toure: Partially at fault for a poor clearance that led to the opening goal early on, but recovered from that and was often in the right place to block a Ludogorets attack. (6/10)

Glen Johnson: Wasn't caught out too often at the back but did lose his man at the late corner, which allowed Terziev to nod home the equaliser. (5/10)

Midfield

Lucas Leiva: Provided the defence with decent cover, although not always legally. Gave away a lot of niggly fouls but ultimately broke up the play, which is what he is in the team to do. (6/10)

Joe Allen: Went about his business quietly in the middle of the park. Didn't have a huge say on the game, but performed his duties solidly. (6/10)

Jordan Henderson: Full of energy, as shown with his goal as he busted a gut to get up in support of Sterling. Produced a clever finish on the run too, lifting the ball over the diving keeper. (7/10)

Steven Gerrard: Played in a more advanced role and was able to link the midfield to the attack on a couple of occasions. Doesn't have the same explosive impact as he once had, though, and his only real telling contribution was a pass to set up Sterling late on. (6/10)

Raheem Sterling: Showed glimpses of his early-season form with bright runs down the left. One such run led to the second goal as he played a perfect pass across for Henderson to convert. Could have wrapped the game up late on, but missed a glorious one-on-one chance. (7/10)

Attack

Rickie Lambert: Another start, another goal. Was not always involved but showed good predatory instincts to capitalise on a defensive error for the equaliser. Would Balotelli have done the same? Surely done enough to earn another start this weekend. (7/10)

Substitutes

Alberto Moreno: Brought on to replace Sterling with eight minutes remaining as Rodgers looked to defend his side's lead, but that ultimately didn't work. (6/10)
