Mario Balotelli still sidelined for Liverpool

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is to miss the team's upcoming trip to Leicester City due to a groin problem.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Mario Balotelli will remain sidelined for Tuesday's trip to Leicester City in the Premier League.

The striker has missed the team's last three games in all competitions due to a groin injury.

Mamadou Sakho is back in training for the Reds after spending over two months out of action with a thigh problem, but the defender is not ready to return.

"The squad will be pretty much the same," manager Brendan Rodgers told the club's official website. "Sakho trained yesterday with the team for the first time, but won't be match-ready yet. And Mario is still not fit."

Liverpool make the trip to the King Power Stadium on the back of a narrow 1-0 win at home to Stoke City.
