Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is reportedly responding well to treatment on his injury and could make a return to the field against Norwich City this Saturday.

Liverpool defender Daniel Agger is reportedly in contention to play for the Reds in their Premier League match against Norwich City on Saturday, despite suffering an injury last week.

There were fears that the Denmark international could be ruled out for a significant period of time after getting stretchered off in Liverpool's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

It emerged earlier this week that Agger's injury was not as serious as first feared, which means that the 27-year-old could return to the field against Norwich, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Meanwhile, reports have also claimed that striker Fabio Borini could be in full training by the end of the week after picking up an ankle problem last weekend.
