Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has opted to look at his spell out of the team as a "positive".
The 26-year-old was dropped for the Reds' 3-0 defeat to Manchester United in December.
Since coming back into the side against Burnley due to an injury to Brad Jones, the Belgian has conceded five goals across seven games.
"You don't want to be out of the team, you always want to play every single game, but it gave me a chance to reflect on a few things, look back at my games and see where I could improve," Mignolet told the club's official website,
"Together with the coaching staff, the goalkeeping coach and the gaffer, I spoke about a few things which I could improve. Those few weeks gave me the time to look into those things. It's something I look back on as a positive."
Since Liverpool's defeat to United, the Merseyside outfit have not been beaten in eight games in all competitions.
