Liverpool legend Jamie Redknapp has claimed that manager Jurgen Klopp represents the "perfect signing" for the Reds.
The German was named as Brendan Rodgers's successor on Thursday after the Northern Irishman was sacked following Sunday's 1-1 draw at Everton.
The eccentric 48-year-old, who reportedly signed a three-year deal, joins the Anfield club on the back of a successful spell with Borussia Dortmund, and Redknapp feels that his personality may be just as important as his methods.
"I think he's the perfect signing for Liverpool at this time. He's got a real enthusiasm about him and he seems infectious - and that's exactly what Liverpool need," he told Sky Sports News.
"When you're playing at Anfield and there's some negativity around, he'll come in and lift everybody and excite them. He plays really high-tempo football."
The ex-Dortmund coach will reportedly earn an estimated £7m per year.
