Preview: Manchester United vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole previews arguably the most anticipated fixture in the English football calendar as Manchester United host Liverpool.

Liverpool travel to Old Trafford this Sunday to renew arguably English football's greatest rivalry as they take on Manchester United.

United come into the match in formidable form in the league having picked up 25 points from an available 27 in their last nine games, a run which has seen them build a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Liverpool are also in decent form going into the match, winning five of their last seven league games, including back-to-back 3-0 wins. They currently sit eighth in the league, but could move level on points with Arsenal in sixth with a win.

The Red Devils will be without Anderson and Nani for the match, while manager Sir Alex Ferguson has also ruled out Wayne Rooney playing any part.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are without long-term absentees Fabio Borini and Martin Kelly, while Jose Enrique is also struggling with a hamstring injury. New signing Daniel Sturridge is likely to start on the bench.

The two great rivals have met once already in the league so far this season, with a Robin van Persie penalty handing United all three points at Anfield.
