Liverpool have confirmed that striker Mario Balotelli has joined AC Milan on a season-long loan deal.
The 25-year-old moved to Anfield from Milan last summer, but has fallen down the pecking order after struggling to make an impact with the Reds.
It is thought that Balotelli has taken a pay cut to move back to Milan, with Liverpool also paying some of his wages.
The Italy international, who netted one Premier League goal for Liverpool, was left out of the club's pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia.
He could make his second debut for the Rossoneri when they face Empoli in Serie A on Saturday.
Balotelli scored four goals in 28 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions last season.
