Barcelona are nearing deals for Manchester City's Sergio Aguero and Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly closing in on deals for Sergio Aguero and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Aguero's contract with Manchester City will expire at the end of June, and Barca have long been considered as the favourites to sign the experienced striker on a free transfer.

Wijnaldum, meanwhile, is leaving Liverpool this summer following the expiration of his deal, and a recent report claimed that the Netherlands international had agreed a three-year contract at Camp Nou.

According to Sky Sports News, Barca are becoming increasingly confident of completing the signings 'within the next week'.

The report claims that representatives of both players have been in talks with the Catalan giants this week to discuss proposed contracts.

Wijnaldum has already played his last game for Liverpool, but Aguero is currently with the Man City squad preparing for Saturday's Champions League final against Chelsea.
