Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has told Liverpool that they will be wasting their time trying to sign teenage starlet Christian Pulisic.
The 18-year-old USA international has been linked with the Reds for some time, with ESPN reporting in the summer that the Merseyside outfit's £11.1m bid was knocked back.
It is believed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has not given up on his pursuit of the teenager, who joined the German outfit's youth setup last year before making his first-team debut this season.
However, Zorc has made Dortmund's stance clear by telling Bild: "It's not worth the effort for Liverpool."
Pulisic, who has scored two goals and produced six assists in 14 appearances this season, is tied down to the Bundesliga outfit until 2019.
