Red Bull Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi has reportedly rejected the opportunity to join Liverpool or Barcelona in favour of a move to Germany.
The 19-year-old has emerged as one of Europe's hottest properties this year, breaking into the Germany squad and directly contributing to 22 goals in 28 games across all competitions for Salzburg so far in 2021-22.
Liverpool have been tracking the youngster's progress for some time, while Barcelona are also understood to have identified him as an ideal target as they prioritise youth as part of their squad rebuild.
However, SPORT reports that Adeyemi is only interested in a move to the Bundesliga at this stage of his career, with Borussia Dortmund leading the race for his signature.
Dortmund have established a reputation for developing young players over recent years, with the likes of Erling Braut Haaland, Jude Bellingham and Giovanni Reyna among their current crop of talented youngsters.
Adeyemi is reportedly keen to follow in their footsteps, particularly having seen Haaland thrive after making the same move from Salzburg to Dortmund.
The Germany international scored three goals and registered two assists in six Champions League group games this season as Salzburg became the first Austrian club to reach the last 16 of the competition.
Adeyemi has also been in prolific form domestically, scoring 14 goals in just 17 Austrian Bundesliga games, and he recently hinted that he would not consider leaving the club until the end of the season.
