Liverpool are understood to be in pole position to sign highly-rated Ipswich Town teenager Teddy Bishop.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been linked with some of England's biggest clubs after a breakthrough season at Portman Road. He has made 17 Championship appearances this season to help put Mick McCarthy's side in promotion contention.
Even if the Tractor Boys do not go up, Bishop could be playing in the top flight next term as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal prepare to swoop for him.
The Mirror claims that the Reds are leading the race for the £10m-rated starlet, but would likely have to wait until the summer to secure his signature as Ipswich have informed Premier League suitors that Bishop will not be leaving this month.
