Aston Villa are willing to offload Fabian Delph for £4m before the January transfer window closes to avoid losing the midfielder on a free in the summer, according to reports.
The 25-year-old England international's contract at Villa Park expires at the end of the season, and talks over a new deal appear to have hit an impasse.
Delph has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, with Anfield appearing his most likely destination.
Reds boss Brendan Rodgers views Delph as a possible successor to Steven Gerrard, reports The Mirror, and is considering launching a move before the window closes.
Delph joined Villa from Leeds United in 2009, and made his international debut in September last year.
