Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reveals that he would like to sign "one or two" more players ahead of the new season.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he wants to make "one or two" more signings before the start of the season.

The Reds have already brought in four players this summer, including Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert from Southampton. However, Rodgers believes that he needs to boost his squad even further ahead of the new campaign.

"At this level you have to be able to spend and the owners have been great," he told Sky Sports News.

"They've backed us in terms of getting players in and hopefully we can get one or two more in which will give us great depth going into all the competitions."

Liverpool's pre-season schedule continues tonight (Sunday) in Chicago when they face Olympiacos in the International Champions Cup.
