Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has agreed terms and passed a medical at Tottenham Hotspur, according to Sky Sports News.
The 22-year-old, who impressed on loan at Swansea City last season, has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs this summer.
He was poised to join Swansea permanently, only for Brendan Rodgers to leave the club to manage Liverpool which then led to speculation linking Sigurdsson's name with a move to Anfield.
However, Spurs have reportedly taken the lead in the race for the Icelandic international's signature and will finalise a deal next week.
