Raheem Sterling is reportedly close to agreeing a new deal with Liverpool that could see the youngster earn £100,000 a week.
The England international's future at Anfield has been in doubt, with the club and the player said to be far apart in terms of wage demands.
However, The Mirror claims that significant progress has made in recent weeks and that a new deal may be agreed before the end of the month.
It is hoped that a significantly increased salary will help ward off interest in Sterling from the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Sterling joined Liverpool as a schoolboy in 2010 from Queens Park Rangers.
