West Ham United are reportedly due to approach Liverpool regarding a loan deal for Andy Carroll following the Reds' snub of Newcastle United.
The North East outfit tried to re-sign their striker, whom they sold to Anfield for £35m last year, on a season-long loan deal, which was subsequently rejected by the Merseyside club.
It is now understood that newly-promoted Premier League outfit West Ham will try to convince Liverpool to allow the 23-year-old to move to Upton Park on a temporary basis, according to ESPN.
While the Reds are thought to be interested in cutting their ties completely with the England international, reports have claimed that the Hammers are only willing to offer a season-long loan with an option to buy.
