Team News: James Milner starts against Stoke City

James Milner starts for Manchester City at Stoke City as Blues boss Manuel Pellegrini make two changes to the team that drew with Hull City.

James Milner has been recalled to the Manchester City starting lineup for the trip to Stoke City.

The England international is preferred to Edin Dzeko as manager Manuel Pellegrini looks to bolster his midfield at the Britannia Stadium.

City's other change sees Aleksander Kolarov replacing Martin Demichelis in defence.

Meanwhile, Stoke City boss Mark Hughes makes three changes, with Peter Crouch recalled at the expense of the injured Jonathan Walters.

Stoke's other changes see Geoff Cameron return to the back four and Marko Arnautovic start after shaking off an injury.

Stoke City: Begovic, Cameron, Wollscheid, Muniesa, Bardsley, Arnautovic, Nzonzi, Whelan, Moses, Diouf, Crouch

Manchester City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Mangala, Kolarov, Fernando, Fernandinho, Nasri, Milner, Silva, Aguero
