Manchester City are reportedly planning to launch a summer bid for Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos.
The Premier League champions are readying an offer of €70m (£61m) for the Germany international, according to Don Balon.
City's local rivals Manchester United were previously linked with Kroos, but are thought to have called time on their interest after securing the services of Brazil international Fred.
Sky Blues boss Pep Guardiola is said to have prioritised midfield reinforcements this summer and has also been strongly linked with a move for Napoli's Jorginho.
Kroos has won the La Liga title and three Champions League gongs since joining Real from Bayern Munich in 2014.
