Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that his side "played well" in their 1-0 Champions League victory over CSKA Moscow at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils were made to wait until the 79th minute to break the deadlock, when Wayne Rooney's strike ended their 404-minute goal drought.
After the final whistle, Van Gaal told BT Sport that he was "happy" to see his side return to winning ways after three consecutive 0-0 draws in all competitions.
He said: "It is unbelievable because we have created at least 12 chances and had to wait a long time.
"Before that they could have scored and then it is a different match. I am happy. We played well."
The win leaves Man Utd at the top of Group B after three matches.
