Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has said that Luke Shaw's recovery from a double leg fracture is "going great".
The 20-year-old has been sidelined since September having suffered the injury in a Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven, but recently returned to training.
Van Gaal revealed that the England left-back is "very positive" in his recovery, but stressed that there is still a long way to go before he is fit to play again.
"He's very positive. He's going great, I cannot deny that. He's training on the pitch," Van Gaal told reporters.
"Now he's training with the physiotherapists, and he has to train with the football coach and that's still not happened."
Shaw is not expected to play for United before the end of the season, all but ending his hopes of appearing at Euro 2016.
