Ben Amos tells Sir Alex Ferguson that he is ready to keep goal for Manchester United again.

Young goalkeeper Ben Amos has revealed that he is ready to continue between the posts for Manchester United.

The 21-year-old made his Premier League debut yesterday evening following injuries to David de Gea and Anders Lindegaard.

He has now told manager Sir Alex Ferguson that he feels comfortable enough in the role to start on Sunday against Chelsea if required.

"I have been waiting a long time for an opportunity this season and thankfully it has come," Amos said.

"I feel I am ready to play at this level and it has been kind of frustrating that these chances don't come around.

"But you have to be ready when something like that happens and you are thrown straight in and I like to think I made the most of it."

Amos signed professional forms with United in 2008.
