New Paris Saint-Germain signing Angel di Maria has claimed that Manchester United were happy to sell him.
The 27-year-old completed his move to the French club for a reported fee of £44.3m earlier today, after spending just one season at Old Trafford.
"I'm happy because I know my wife and child will be happy in Paris," he told reporters.
"It wasn't just my decision to leave. If I left it was also because they decided to sell me.
"The three parties agreed. Me, Manchester United and PSG agreed the deal."
Di Maria scored four goals in his 33 appearances for United.
