Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea believes that securing the signature of Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas would be a "great" move for the Premier League champions.
The Red Devils are said to have lodged a £26m bid for the former Arsenal captain, who recently revealed his intentions to remain at Camp Nou.
"It would be great if Cesc came here," The Guardian quotes De Gea as saying. "It would be great to have more Spanish players at Manchester United. He is a great player, very skilful, knows how to win things and you always want those type of players in your team."
Despite Fabregas's claims that he wants to stay with the Spanish giants, Barca are yet to respond to United's offer.
