Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao has admitted that he "always admired" the club's former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy.
Dutchman Van Nistelrooy scored 150 goals during a five-year period at Old Trafford, before he left for Real Madrid.
When asked which centre-forwards he looked up to as a youngster coming through the ranks at River Plate, Falcao revealed that Van Nistelrooy, who is now assistant coach of the Netherlands, was a "star attraction".
"I always admired Ruud van Nistelrooy in my position. He was a star attraction for me," the Colombian told Inside United.
Falcao joined the Red Devils on a season-long deal from Monaco in August, but injuries have limited the 28-year-old to just seven appearances, from which he has scored one goal.
