Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has described Mino Raiola - the agent of Paul Pogba - as "a shitbag".
Pogba spent the early part of his professional career at Old Trafford before he eventually signed for Juventus on a free transfer in 2012.
Last summer, United broke the world transfer record in order to secure a reunion with the Frenchman, just four years after his exit from the club.
While delivering a speech to rugby union side Sale Sharks, Ferguson was quizzed about the situation and he blamed the release of the then 19-year-old on his representative.
The Scot said: "Paul Pogba? He had a bad agent. A shitbag. Paul Pogba was well known to us. We knew he was a good player. He's still a good player. We offered him the best contract."
In his first season back at United, Pogba scored nine goals in 51 appearances in all competitions.
