Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard has reignited speculation over the future of Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann by saying that he wants the France international to join the club.
Griezmann was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier this summer, but Atletico's FIFA-imposed transfer ban saw him decide to stay in the Spanish capital and sign a new contract with the club.
However, Lingard has not completely given up hope of seeing the 26-year-old move to the Premier League, naming him as the one player he would like to see United sign this summer.
"The player I'd like to see in Manchester United next season? Antoine Griezmann," Lingard is quoted as saying by the Manchester Evening News.
"I hope it will happen. He scores a lot of goals and he's very creative."
United have already signed Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku this summer.
