Liverpool star Sadio Mane relishing "dream" clash against Manchester United

Sadio Mane says that Liverpool "can beat any team in the world" ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against Manchester United.

Liverpool star Sadio Mane has claimed that it is a "dream" for most players to be involved in games against major rivals such as Manchester United.

The Senegal international is expected to be in Jurgen Klopp's first XI for Saturday's lunchtime kickoff at Old Trafford.

The rivalry between the two North-West outfits is one of the fiercest in football, and the Reds will be heading into the match with confidence having secured a Champions League quarter-final place on Tuesday night.

"It is a very big game and it won't be easy, but we can beat any team in the world," Mane told Sky Sports News. "It won't be easy but we can do it. We'll try our best.

"They are one of the best teams in England of course, but we are, also. It's going to be a tough game. It's the dream for every single player to play in these kinds of games. Everybody is looking forward to it."

Liverpool will overtake United with a win as Jose Mourinho's side currently have a two-point advantage in second place in the Premier League table.
