Rio Ferdinand: 'We made fun of Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United'

Rio Ferdinand reveals that he and his former Manchester United teammates used to make fun of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he and his teammates used to poke fun at Cristiano Ronaldo during his time at Old Trafford.

The three-time Ballon d'Or winner recently revealed that he rarely spoke to his United teammates away from the pitch.

The comments were made after Ronaldo was asked about his relationships with his fellow Real Madrid teammates, including Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema.

After hearing Ronaldo's views, Ferdinand told BT Sport: "He's gone off me! He used to live next door to me. Unbelievable! He didn't like my cooking.

"I actually used to take the mick out of him in the changing rooms, I think he's got the hump. He used to come in in tight jeans and we used to murder him. He didn't get it."

Ronaldo won three Premier League titles, two League Cups, the FA Cup and the Champions League during his six-year spell at United.
