Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has admitted that forward Anthony Martial is 'like a young Patrick Kluivert.'
The 19-year-old has scored four goals in four games so far, and the Dutchman believes that he shares the same qualities as the former Ajax and Barcelona forward.
Van Gaal told The Times: "Of course you can compare Martial with Kluivert, you can do that, because Kluivert was also a fantastic, athletic figure and scored goals right from the beginning."
However, Van Gaal also feels that Martial is playing in a much tougher period for football, especially in the Premier League.
The 64-year-old added: "It is much more difficult than 10 years ago because the rhythm of the game is so much higher so the time and space you have as a player is much shorter."
Manchester United take on Sunderland at Old Trafford later today.
