Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has played down suggestions that he will move to Barcelona.
The Spanish shot-stopper has been linked with a move to the Catalan club after it was revealed that current No. 1 Victor Valdes will not be renewing his contract with the club when it expires in 2014.
However, De Gea, who only arrived at Old Trafford in 2011, has said that he does not intend to make the switch to Barca.
"At Barca, Valdes is still the keeper and Madrid is my city," De Gea told The Sun.
"One day I would like to return [to Madrid] but now I hope to stay in Manchester for a long time and win a lot of titles."
De Gea joined Unted from Atletico Madrid for a reported fee of around £18m.
