Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is reportedly prepared to stay at Old Trafford for the rest of the season.

Ralf Rangnick revealed last week that the 24-year-old has asked to leave the club in search of regular first-team football, however, United's interim boss is keen to keep hold of the shot-stopper.

The German coach believes Henderson is still an invaluable member of his squad and has said that he needs to keep hold of the three goalkeepers that he currently has within his squad while the Red Devils remain in three different competitions.

Henderson is now considered as David de Gea's understudy, having started only two games across all competitions this season.

Despite a lack of game time, the Daily Mirror, via the Daily Mail, claims that the England international will not look to force through a transfer away from the club and is willing to stay put until the end of the current campaign.

Henderson has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this month, with Southampton understood to have made an enquiry about his availability.
