Lucas Vazquez has appeared to ruled out a possible move to Manchester United and Chelsea by insisting that he "will always be a Real Madrid man".
The Spain international, who has played an important role for Los Blancos this season, is due to be out of contract in the summer.
Madrid are believed to have offered the 29-year-old a lucrative deal to stay on, but United and Chelsea are monitoring his situation ahead of the transfer window opening.
However, speaking after playing the full 90 minutes of his side's 3-1 Champions League quarter-final first-leg win against Liverpool on Tuesday, Vazquez hinted that he is ready to agree fresh terms after being used more regularly this term.
"What I concentrate on is the present," he said. "I'm really enjoying myself this season because I'm playing and that's what makes me happy.
"A contract extension? I was and will always be a Real Madrid man."
Vazquez, who has also been linked with Bayern Munich, has a combined eight goals and assists this season, having been used mainly as a makeshift right-back.
