Manchester United have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso despite strong interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 23-year-old only recently completed a permanent move to Betis, having been on loan with the Spanish outfit from Paris Saint-Germain during the 2018-19 campaign.
Lo Celso ended the recent season with 16 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for Los Verdiblancos, which has led to suggestions of interest from the likes of Tottenham.
According to Estadio Deportivo, though, United are now the favourites to sign the Argentina international after a delegation of Betis officials travelled to England last week to meet with the Red Devils.
The 20-time English champions have also been strongly linked with a swoop for Sporting Lisbon's Bruno Fernandes as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to add a goalscoring central midfielder to his squad.
Paul Pogba, though, could reportedly go on strike in a bid to force a move to Real Madrid this summer.
