Manchester United, Arsenal 'leading race for Alassane Plea'

Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly among a number of clubs who are ready to make an approach for Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea.

Borussia Monchengladbach forward Alassane Plea has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for a number of Premier League clubs.

The Frenchman has established himself as a key man in an impressive team, contributing nine goals and seven assists in the Bundesliga this season.

While the 27-year-old is currently focused on trying to earn a Champions League spot with Monchengladbach, it appears that he will not be short of offers during the next transfer window.

According to Bild, Manchester United and Arsenal are among several English teams who regard Plea as a possible addition.

The report adds that Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring the situation as they look to strengthen in the final third.

Plea, who may cost in excess of £30m, still has over three years remaining on his contract.
