Manchester United have reportedly removed themselves from the race to sign Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
After helping the Dutch giants to the Champions League semi-finals last season, a number of top European clubs have been linked with an approach for the playmaker.
United, as well as Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, have been credited with an interest in the Netherlands international.
However, according to The Mirror, Ajax are ready to demand a fee of £100m, a move which has led to United withdrawing their interest.
The report adds that the Premier League giants will not meet that asking price, having previously been offered Van de Beek for £35m.
The 22-year-old has already stated that he will see out the current campaign with Ajax.
