Manchester United are reportedly considering a bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis.
According to The Mirror, United scouts have been watching the £20m-rated centre-back in recent weeks ahead of a potential move for the 29-year-old in the summer.
The newspaper adds that Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is targeting a partner for Eric Bailly in defence, and has put Sokratis on the club's radar.
United are also allegedly keen on Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld, but the club believe that Sokratis is a more achievable target.
Mourinho is understood to be tracking midfield targets too, due to the imminent retirement of Michael Carrick.
