Manchester United have reportedly lowered their asking price for Alejandro Garnacho to £55m, with Napoli now considering their next move after having an initial £40m offer rejected last week.
There is currently widespread speculation surrounding the future of the 20-year-old, with Man United reluctantly open to a sale this month, as his exit would count as pure profit under the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules.
There are also concerns surrounding his suitability for Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3 system, and while the Red Devils are not actively looking to sell him, it is understood that a number of factors are contributing to the club being willing to listen to serious offers.
Napoli are said to have had a £40m bid rejected last week, and it had been suggested that the Red Devils would not entertain offers of less than £60m for the former Atletico Madrid youngster.
However, according to Sky Italia, Man United have now signalled that a bid in the region of £55m would likely be accepted, while Garnacho is believed to be keen to make the move to the Italian outfit.

Man United 'drop asking price' for Garnacho amid Napoli interest
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna recently said that his club were "making some assessments" when asked about Garnacho, who is thought to the club's number one target to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has joined Paris Saint-Germain.
"We are making some assessments. He is an important player, but he is not ours," said Manna.
"We must not get carried away even if we know that an important player has left. A top player as the manager defined him and therefore the expectations are high. But we will do something on Napoli's terms."
According to talkSPORT, Garnacho is 'coming around to the idea' of leaving in January, as he has concerns over where he fits into Amorim's system, with the Argentine currently being asked to play as an inside forward.
The majority of Garnacho's best work during his Man United career has come out wide, but he is featuring as one of two numbers 10s under Amorim and has struggled to make his mark since the Portuguese's arrival.

Chelsea 'also in the running' for Garnacho
Chelsea are also being heavily linked with Garnacho, and it is understood that the Blues are genuine contenders for his signature.
However, it is incredibly difficult to imagine Man United letting the Argentina international move the move to Chelsea, with a sale abroad preferred for obvious reasons if he is to leave Old Trafford this month.
Garnacho has scored eight goals and registered five assists in 32 appearances for Man United during the 2024-25 campaign, although he has only managed three goals and one assist in 21 Premier League outings.
The forward has started two of Man United's last three matches in all competitions, but he was only a second-half substitute for Sunday's Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion, which the Red Devils lost 3-1.
Garnacho is currently training with the Man United squad ahead of Thursday's Europa League contest with Rangers.
