Manchester United have reportedly been dealt a blow regarding the future of Omari Forson.
The Red Devils hierarchy are currently prioritising the future of head coach Erik ten Hag, who is expected to learn this week whether he will remain in the dugout.
However, with a new footballing operations team in place, United are able to progress with trying to sign new players and resolve any outstanding contract issues.
Several players will be departing Old Trafford at the end of their existing deals, with the likes of Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial already confirming as much.
There are players further down the pecking order that have been deliberating longer over their next moves, including academy graduate Forson.

Forson makes decision on United future
Having been provided with experience during pre-season, the 19-year-old has subsequently been part of the senior ranks for parts of the 2023-24 campaign.
United evidently see a big future for the midfielder and have been eager to hand him a new long-term deal with the view of furthering his development next season.
Instead, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Forson has made the decision that his future lies away from the Theatre of Dreams.
Romano says that the England Under-20 international will officially depart United at the end of June and is now considering the best option for his career.

Why has Forson made this decision?
The fact that Forson has allegedly called time on his United career even when there is the possibility of playing under a different head coach suggests this is purely down to career progression.
Forson, a winger, was provided with just one start and six substitute outings in all competitions this season, with his solitary outing from the first whistle coming in a 2-1 defeat to Fulham in February.
Even with Forson chipping in with a timely assist in the 4-3 thriller over Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier that month, there was not enough credit in the bank to make more than three brief substitute outings from March onwards.
In total, Forson featured for just 87 minutes under Ten Hag throughout 2023-24 and seemingly does not have faith in that improving significantly under the Dutchman or his successor next season.
While no specific clubs are mentioned, the starlet will inevitably have widespread interest from home and abroad due to his free agent status.
