Manchester United have reportedly identified Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic as the man to replace David de Gea in the event that he leaves for Real Madrid.
Speculation is rife that the Liga giants will attempt to lure the Spaniard, 24, to Madrid this summer as a replacement for 33-year-old Iker Casillas.
Consequently, United have drawn up a shortlist of names to succeed De Gea at Old Trafford and Begovic sits top of it, according to The Metro.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes has previously admitted that the 27-year-old, whose contract expires next year, could leave the club for a cut-price fee in the off-season.
The 27-year-old has rejected a contract extension and the Potters would be willing to do business for around £8m, the report claims.
