Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in signing West Ham United striker Diafra Sakho.
It has been suggested that Red Devils manager Louis van Gaal was impressed with the Senegal international's performances last term, during which he scored 12 goals in 26 outings.
United are in discussions to sign Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller, but they may also open up talks with the Hammers regarding 25-year-old Sakho, according to the Daily Mail.
The report adds that West Ham value Sakho at around £15m, having signed him for just £3.5m from Metz 12 months ago.
Should Sakho make the move to Old Trafford, he could replace Robin van Persie, who is expected to join Fenerbahce on Monday.
