Manchester United 'put £120m aside for Gareth Bale deal'

Manchester United reportedly put £120m aside for a summer bid to lure Gareth Bale to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have reportedly set aside as much as £120m to make a summer bid for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

The Welshman has recently dismissed rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford, saying that he is happy with life in the Spanish capital.

However, the Daily Star claims that the Red Devils have budgeted for a possible deal in the summer transfer kitty as Louis van Gaal continues to rebuild his squad.

Despite Bale continuing to insist that he is happy playing for Los Blancos, United are still said to be hopeful of luring the ex-Tottenham Hotspur winger to the North-West.

The 25-year-old joined Real from Spurs in the summer of 2013.
