AC Milan have reportedly identified Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic as a future transfer target.
Vidic has been plagued by persistent knee injuries in recent seasons, but remained a key part of the United side that reclaimed the Premier League title last season.
Milan believe that Vidic could fall down the pecking order under new United boss David Moyes and are ready to pounce with a bid in the next 12 months, according to The Mirror.
United have been heavily linked with a move for Benfica defender Ezequiel Garay in recent weeks, helping convince Milan that Vidic could provide a solution to their long-term search for a centre-back to play alongside Philippe Mexes.
The 31-year-old has spent seven seasons at Old Trafford, making 264 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
