Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew has denied rumours of a rift between players of the Black Stars following their elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Reports had seemed to suggest that the Marseille winger, 22, caused unrest in the camp, but he has moved quickly to quell the rumours.
"This is completely false. The entire squad was united to end Ghana's trophy wait. You go into a competition with a lot of desire and ambition. We really wanted to bring the cup to Ghana, but we did not do what we had to do on the pitch – take our chances," Ayew told KickOffGhana.
"We are very disappointed, but we are going to erase these mistakes and push forward to make the nation proud."
Zambia overcame Ivory Coast to claim the trophy on Sunday evening.
