Middlesbrough have signed winger Mustapha Carayol from Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee.
Manager Tony Mowbray believes that the 23-year-old, who has signed a three-year deal at the Riverside Stadium, will add variety to his team's attacking play.
"I'm delighted he has agreed to sign for us as there was competition for him from within the Championship," said Mowbray.
"I see him as a young, exciting player who can give us a different dimension and option."
Carayol has spent his career in the lower leagues, where he has played for the likes of MK Dons, Crawley and Torquay, before he made the move to Bristol Rovers in 2011.
