The agent of Modibo Diakite has confirmed that his client would give strong consideration to a move to Napoli.
The Naples-based club reportedly view the 26-year-old defender as the ideal replacement for Hugo Campagnaro, who recently revealed that he was in transfer talks with Inter Milan.
Discussing the possibility of a switch for the Lazio player, representative Ulisse Savini has conceded that Napoli would be his "first choice".
"Napoli are the first option for Diakite. To sign we are ready to make a financial sacrifice. He has undergone a medical in France because he suffered a bad injury four years ago, and that check with the doctor who did the surgery was planned. But he hasn't had medicals with Napoli yet," Savini told Radio CDC.
"We are not far from an agreement with Napoli. In the player's mind Napoli is the first choice. With what we lived at Lazio we can write a book. After Easter, I think we will define the situation with Napoli."
Diakite joined Lazio from Pescara back in 2006.
