Johan Cruyff: Netherlands football "hurts the eyes"

"Fast" alterations need to be made to make the Netherlands an international force again, according to Johan Cruyff.

Dutch football legend Johan Cruyff has called for changes to be made within the Netherlands national team setup.

Since Guus Hiddink took charge last summer, Oranje have won just twice in seven outings.

Reflecting on their latest failure - a 1-1 draw with Turkey in Euro 2016 qualifying - Cruyff admitted that the standard of football being played by his nation "hurts the eyes".

"There have to be changes and fast because this football hurts the eyes," the 67-year-old wrote in his De Telegraaf column.

"We don't have anything and I wonder when they will finally sound the alarm."

Tomorrow evening, the Dutch will take on Spain in an international friendly.
