Newcastle United have reportedly switched their attention to Real Sociedad manager David Moyes after Steve McClaren turned down the chance to take charge.
Derby County head coach McClaren is said to have declined the opportunity to manage Newcastle's final three games of the Premier League season after failing to guide the Rams to the Championship playoffs.
The Magpies have been dragged into a relegation battle after losing their last eight games, which has piled the pressure on head coach John Carver.
Newcastle have said that they will keep faith with Carver for now, but it is expected that he will leave St James' Park at the end of the season.
According to Standard Digital News, Newcastle will look to offer Moyes a return to Premier League football.
The Scot took charge of La Liga side Sociedad in November, 10 months after he was sacked by Manchester United.
West Ham United are also thought to be chasing the former Everton boss.
