Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye will undergo a scan to determine the extent of the ankle injury that he sustained against Queens Park Rangers this afternoon.
The French international was stretchered off at the Sports Direct Arena following a challenge with Rangers midfielder Shaun Derry, who was booked for his part.
The Magpies club doctor has told Sky Sports News that the complaint is not too serious, but will require a scan to discover the length of time he will be out of action for.
Cabaye joined Newcastle during the summer from French champions Lille.
