According to journalist Manu Lonjon, Newcastle are also prepared to enter the race for the 25-year-old's signature.
During his first campaign in England's top flight, Trezeguet has contributed three goals and one assist from 24 outings.
Despite the interest from the Magpies, Galatasaray are said to be the frontrunners for the wideman.
